The Sock Brigade has some big big news to share with the alpaca community. So big that AOBA has invited us to make our announcement as the opener of the 2011 Nationals Auction. We are excited to share our news and invite you to be part of the action & sending alpaca socks to our soldiers in harm’s way. To celebrate we have a few auction lots to help raise funds to send more socks!

~ Timber Lodge Alpacas has donated a framed photo capturing the emotional meeting of US Veterans from Pearl Harbor and Iraq.

AND
~ One box of 24 alpaca socks to send to our soldiers overseas. Shawn Malloy of Royalty Fiber Farm.

The Sock Brigade has been sending alpaca socks to our troops since 2007 and in that time we have sent over 10,000 pairs of socks to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Sock Brigade’s goal is three pairs of alpaca socks per soldier deployed. The alpaca community has gone over and above to help us inch closer to this goal. A very happy consequence of the Sock Brigade project is getting more alpaca products into more hands and onto more feet.
Because warm feet are NOT a luxury!
